Welcome to my site! My name is Brittiney Walker. I am 27 years old and currently attending Columbus State University. I am working on my Bachelor's degree in Middle Grades, specializing in History and English/Lamguage Arts. I have 3 years experience with children of all ages. I have worked as a paraprofessional in both Kindergarten and Pre-kindergarten as well as been a behavioral counselor at an after school program. My passion is understanding and teaching children as well as reading and learning about the world. I spend most of my time with my beautiful son outdoors, but I also enjoy eating/trying new foods all the time. I hope to one day open a school to help at risk students.
OVERVIEW
On this site you will find resources to help your students read, comprehend, and analyze texts that are suitable for young adult readers. These resources will help students with writing, discussing, and understanding the texts given. The two novels that we will be focusing on are The Outsiders by S.E. Hinton and I'll Give You the Sun by Jandy Nelson.
